Rub Smokehouse – Nottingham

If you are into wacky food combinations and trying something different, look no further! We have been to the restaurant twice now and have loved it both times. We went recently as they were offering a great deal which we just couldn’t say no to.

On our most recent visit, I had the Belgian Waffle Burger – which was a ‘double cheeseburger, filled with pulled pork, lettuce, coleslaw & served between two Belgian Waffles drizzled with maple syrup!’
Manny also fancied a burger and chose the Burnt Ends Burger – ‘‘The point’ of the ‘16 hour rubbed brisket’ has been cooked low ‘n’ slow over hickory, caramelised in our homemade BBQ sauce, in between two burgers with an aged cheese sauce and fried pickles.’
Although both of our meals featured an interesting mix of flavours, which some people may be apprehensive about, they were both very yummy and we really enjoyed them! The portions are very big and, at least for me, it was a struggle to eat everything.

This is a great place to try out if you’re looking for somewhere new to eat – there is a great mix of dishes – some reallly wacky and some not so much. The restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff have been really lovely on both of our visits!
