CAU – Leamington

So, for my birthday dinner we wanted to go somewhere we haven’t been before and we decided on CAU which is fairly new to Leamington. CAU features an Argentinian menu – mainly made up of steaks and burgers, and it is definitely a place for peopleΒ who are a fan of meaty dishes!! Having said this, the menu does also features some salads andΒ some ‘Big Plates’ offering a bit more choice as well as some vegetarian options.

We went out with a few other people, meaning we were able to see a mix of several dishes! Both Manny and I ended up ordering the same thing which I don’t think has ever happened before. We both chose the ‘Tapa de Caudril’ and it’s safe to say, it was the most delicious, melt in your mouth steak I have ever eaten! A couple of our friends chose burgers which also looked and, apparently tasted great.

Because we weren’t full enough already, and because the dessert menu looked fab, we all decided to order pudding too. Most people were persuaded by the chocolate fondant but Manny decided to choose something different and opted for the cornflake sundae.
The chocolate fondant’s were gorgeous and cooked to perfection, whilst, although it was nice, the cornflake sundae was slightly disappointing.

Overall, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Best of all, the meals are appropriately priced and we definitely got value for money! The only thing I would say after being back again is that having a steak meal isn’t actually that filling. However, we would both recommend eating here without hesitation!

I had a lovely birthday with my friends and family – thank you for the messages! Follow us on Instagram to see what we’ve been getting up to: @whenanniemetmanny
