Airbnb: 6 Unique Places to Stay in the UK

If you are like us, sometimes you want to stay somewhere a bit different to the usual hotels, hostels and apartments.

Lucky for you, we have put together a list of some of the wackiest places we came across on Airbnb. These are all based in the UK but vary in their exact location. To top it all off, we have also provided a discount code at the end so you can save money when you book somewhere on Airbnb.

1. Tree Sparrow House, Cornwall

How sweet is this hidden away tree house?! Perfectly located in Helston, Cornwall – really close to the sea! The reviews say this is a truly magical, fairytale place to stay.

2. Wagon in the woods & hot tub, Medstead

This accommodation features a covered outdoor seating area, a campfire with a BBQ grill and even a bath under a trap door in the wagon! Oh and we can’t forget the hot tub, what’s not to love?! Based in Medstead, Hampshire, the 5-star reviews say how cosy and unique this place is, with one person even going as far as saying they had the best night of their life here!

3. Floating tree sphere, Sturminster Marshall

These floating tree spheres are located in Sturminster Marshall in the beautiful Dorset countryside. The reviews say the secluded location is perfect, and the spheres are very quirky!

4. Land Rover Hot Tub & Bluebird Penthouse

I have never seen a hot tub like this before and after coming across this on Airbnb, we will definitely be staying here at some point! The accommodation is located in High Bickington, and panoramic views of the valley can be seen from all around. The reviews say this is an incredibly tranquil and relaxing place and that it is definitely worth a visit!

5. Hobbit House, Underground Glamping


This is a great place to stay especially if you are a fan of The Hobbit! Located in Pengenffordd, in the middle of the beautiful Brecon Beacons, the accommodation features a lovely wood-fired cooker which keeps it nice and cosy. The reviews say this is such a beautiful place to escape to and do something a bit different.

6. The Jet Star, Redberth

Whilst this may not be the prettiest place to stay, it is definitely unique. The plane still has lots of its original buttons and dials very authentic and even has an Xbox in the cockpit! Located in Redberth, South Pembrokeshire, the Jet Star is close to castles and lots of historical points of interest. Reviews say this is a really fun place to stay!
